It identifies DEA as a potential therapeutic agent for Alcoholic Liver Disease (ALD). The research reveals that DEA acts as a dual inhibitor,uniquely targeting two key cellular pathways: the Keap1-Nrf2 protein-protein interaction (PPI) and glycogen synthase kinase 3\u03b2 (GSK3\u03b2). By disrupting the Keap1-Nrf2 interaction and inhibiting GSK3\u03b2, DEA promotes the movement of the Nrf2 protein into the cell&#8217;s nucleus.
