SCP demonstrated dose dependent antioxidant activity, exhibiting ABTS radical scavenging activity of up to 88.9% and DPPH radical scavenging activity of up to 76.6% at the highest tested concentration. In human dermal fibroblasts, SCP significantly inhibited collagenase activity by approximately 51%, thereby reducing collagen degradation, while simultaneously increasing type I collagen production by up to 1.6 fold compared with untreated cells.
